I have something I need to get off my chest. I have an Amazon addiction. It’s so incredibly easy to buy anything and everything I need – from household supplies to clothing to even my groceries.
If you have a similar addiction, then you’ll understand why I’m so jazzed about these great ways to score a free Amazon gift card!
Free Amazon Gift Card from Surveys
There are a few awesome websites out there where you can earn points for completing surveys, doing searches, and more.
The first is Survey Junkie. One of the best things about Survey Junkie is that they give you the option to cash out your points once you reach the $10 threshold. That means you could be earning multiple Amazon gift cards each month, depending on how many surveys you complete.
Survey Junkie will send you an e-gift card immediately too, so this is one of the fastest ways to snag a free Amazon gift card!
With Harris Poll, you can earn points for taking surveys, and then redeem those points for awesome rewards. In addition to Amazon gift cards, they also offer gift cards to major online and brick-and-mortar retailers.
Another popular survey site is InboxDollars. They pay you for each survey you complete, so in any given month, you could earn multiple gift cards – it all depends on how many surveys you complete. They also pay through check and PayPal.
If you want to earn points toward gift cards by doing more than just surveys, I would suggest Swagbucks. In addition to earning points for surveys, you can earn points for using their search engine. It’s a lot of reward for doing very little work!
Get Free Amazon Gift Card by Shopping
I’ve mentioned Ibotta before since it’s a great tool for saving money at the grocery store. It’s like having coupons but in the 21st century. What you might not know about Ibotta is that you can redeem your cash back rewards for gift cards. In addition to Amazon, there are gift card options for Starbucks, Target, and more.
If online shopping is more your style, then you probably already know about Ebates. Ebates helps you earn cash back on online purchases made at hundreds of online retailers. Depending on the promotion, you can earn anywhere from 1% all the way up to 15% cash back!
You can use that cash back – sent quarterly via Paypal or by check – to buy Amazon gift cards. And one fun hack that I got from a friend is that you can use the Ebates portal to purchase Amazon gift cards through Amazon, and then earn cash back on them! How awesome is that?
One of the most fun ways to earn points while shopping is by using the Mobee app. Mobee rewards you for being a secret shopper at local stores. By completing these shopping “missions,” you’ll be rewarded with points. And, you guessed it, those points can be redeemed for lots of different gift card options, including our personal favorite: Amazon.
Free Amazon Gift Card through…Amazon?!
Amazon offers a program called Mechanical Turk that’s essentially just a flexible side hustle that pays you with Amazon gift cards. This program connects companies with workers to complete online tasks that you can pick from based on your interests, skills, and schedule.
Some popular tasks include video processing, data entry, content creation, and transcription. The list changes constantly, and you can complete tasks whenever you have time. I highly recommend browsing through Mechanical Turk and completing some tasks the next time you find yourself binging your favorite show on Netflix.
If you have an Amazon gift card that you’ve used, don’t toss it out! Amazon occasionally offers a great deal where you can get $5 free when you reload an existing gift card with $100 or more. Think of it as the gift that keeps on giving.
You can also score Amazon gift cards by selling stuff you don’t want anymore. With Amazon’s Trade-In program, you can earn a free Amazon gift card by selling electronics, books, and video game equipment.
Amazon will even cover the cost of shipping for you to send in your items to be assessed. Once they arrive, Amazon will pay you for the items they keep, and anything left will be returned back to you. No risk, high reward!
Last, but certainly not least, if you’re a Prime subscriber, one of the awesome Prime perks is free Amazon gift card credits when you opt out of free 2-day shipping.
Amazon will give you a credit in exchange for waiting an extra day or two for your item(s) to arrive. Usually, they’re limited to some kind of Amazon-specific service, like restaurant delivery, Prime Pantry, or digital downloads, but hey, free is free!
